Before you depart

We remind you that to visit Rapa Nui, you must meet certain requirements since the entry into force of Law 21.070 in 2018, which governs the stay and permanence on the island due to its special status.

Here are the requirements:

  • Valid Passport if you are a foreigner.
  • National Identification Card (Cédula de identidad) if you are Chilean.
  • Since January 2023, the sanitary resolution has changed, and proof of Sar vaccination is no longer required.
  • Registered and Pre-booked Accommodation listed with SERNATUR. For more information, visit https://serviciosturisticos.sernatur.cl/.
  • Contact an accredited guide. More information can be found at www.rapanuinationalpark.com or https://serviciosturisticos.sernatur.cl/.
  • Purchase your park entry ticket from the Maꞌu Henua Indigenous Community website to access different points in Rapa Nui National Park.
  • Invitation Letter from your accommodation host.
  • Single Entry Form for Rapa Nui (FUI). You can complete the form using this link, which will be available for completion 21 days before your trip. You will need the name of your accommodation, which must be registered with SERNATUR, or the reference number from your invitation letter if visiting friends or family.
